EAST TILBURY

In February 2024, we opened our new Training Academy in East Tilbury. Our new centre is fully equipped with 5 classrooms, a lunch breakout area, and meeting rooms with plenty of parking! Our Training team is led by Sarah Brown, Training & Commercial Director at Railsafe Group as we continue to welcome new trainees for learning and development.

LEEDS

We deliver a range of NVQ Rail Engineering Courses in the North of England, which are part of the West Yorkshire Combined Authority’s AEB (Adult Education Budget) funding stream. Company funding covers Leeds, Wakefield, Calderdale and Kirklees areas, and our Training Academy & Resource Centre in the heart of Leeds Town Centre, allows us to reach the entire region of West Yorkshire. Working closely with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), Probation Trust and Leeds City Council, learners will receive full access to an NVQ qualification including all practical elements relating to rail. Once fully qualified, course members will enter into employment with either Railsafe Group or another employer within our partnership scheme.

RAIL COURSES

These qualifications are delivered with compulsory Health and Safety Training in Small Tools, Manual Handling, and Fire Awareness.

NVQ LEVEL 2 & 3

NVQ level 2 will suit anyone working in rail engineering that has relevant knowledge and skills, usually from a supervised role.

NVQ level 3 is ideal for anyone working in rail engineering with a great deal of technical skills, experience and knowledge under minimum supervision. You will alsohave a good record of safety, fault correction and ensure all work meets the required standard.
